Sunday Funday

1. These weeks are going by so fast, it feels like 2012 is almost over and it's only January!
2. When you really like what you are learning in class, time goes by super fast and you don't want to leave because you want to continue learning. That was a run-on sentence hehe.
3. Home cooked food is the best kind. No matter what.
4. Sitting in a hair dressers chair for 4 hours gives you time to reflect on things you have to do, things you need to do, things you haven't gotten around to, and things you wish you could do.
5. Downloading a movie from iTunes takes FOREVER.
6. Wine. That's it. Just wine. I love it. I can drink it every day.
8. I wish you a wonderful and productive week
xxo

P.S I actually did sit in my hair dressers chair for 4 hours today while she was attempting to ombre my hair. A post will come soon on it. I'm not too sure if I quite like it enough to show you....

Realizations

1. Having your own little world inside your head is perfectly ok. Even if it does have a wedding, dream house, and dream man in it, that you know will never happen. My dream world consists of me and Shia Lebouf living in a great big mansion in Beverly Hill.

2. Naps are amazing and I think every person should take one daily.

3. So what if you still haven't lost that last 5, 10, or 15 pounds. I'm pretty sure you are still beautiful, no matter what you think.

4. Having a boyfriend buy you flowers for ever occasion is a little over the top. If he loves you and is loyal and takes your side all the time, why make him show you even more with flowers? Valentines day and your birthday the exception.

5. Chicken stuffed with cheese and stuffing covered with cream of chicken and cream of mushroom soup is to die for! Seriously, I made it last night and my whole family said it was amazing! If you want the recipe just tweet me :)

6. If you think your life isn't going how you want it to just know that there might be another plan out there for you. It could be for the better! Just keep calm and have a cupcake!

Obsessed

I love love long hair. I love wavy hair. I love braids. I love messy hair. I love all of these hairstyles and if I had any ounce of talent in doing hair I would have done these styles to my mane. I also love the blond color of the last picture. Too bad I'm a natural brunette, or else I would totally go this color. What do you think of these styles?

Pretty

Dip-dye hair. Need I say more? I want it done to my hair right now! If I could have rainbow dyed hair for work I totally would.
Also I think I want these piercings. They look so elegant and pretty. I've had my cartilage pierced before, but since I did it myself it didn't come out too well. I think if I get them professionally done I think it would look pretty!

Pink Ribbons

About a week ago, while we were on vacation I spotted a lady wearing some Uggs with a pink ribbon embroidered on them. I ran up to her and asked her where she got those beauties and she said Las Vegas! I was not going to make a special trip to Las Vegas for some shoes, so I did the next best thing. I went online and found them! My mom was so happy because she wanted some too. She ordered a pair for me and her and they just came in today! They are the short brown chestnut ones.

What do you think about them?

30 Things

On Twitter, there has been a tt recently, #30thingsaboutme and I thought I would do it on my blog instead of doing 30 different tweets. Enough chit chatting and lets get down to the nitty gritty :)

1. I'm obsessed with Apple products. My iPhone is amazing and I will never ever go back to Android.
2. If I don't have at least 1 chapstick in my purse with me or on me at all times, I will go and buy one.
3. Dooney and Bourke purses are my weakness. I love them. The look, the feel, the smell.....
4. I'm a cat person. I don't have any cats right now, but one day I know I'll end up being a crazy cat lady.
5. I love pink. (Doesn't every girl like pink? I feel like such a cliche)
6. I love to read. I love reading long novels that seem like they never end because I hate when books end and I'm left thinking about what else could happen in that world.
7. I wear fake eyelashes every chance I get. I don't care if they are long and gaudy looking or short and natural, I will wear them. I love the look they give and I feel better in them.
8. Modern Family, Gossip Girl, and 90210 are my favorite shows that are on air right now, but The O.C will forever have a special place in my heart.
9. School supplies will dominate my room some day. I'm addicted to getting new shiny pens, notebooks, highlighters, paper, you name it I need for school kind of things.
10. I am a horrible photographer. I cannot take a good picture for the life of me!
11. I think the prettiest thing on a woman is long hair and long eyelashes. I've donated my hair a few times to Locks of Love so people who can't have long pretty hair can.
12. My family fully supports breast cancer awareness. My mom buys almost anything with a pink ribbon on it. Her most recent purchase is some pink ribbon Uggs for the both of us. (Pssst... I'm wearing them right now)
13. Food is my weakness. I love food. I can eat for days, which probably isn't a good thing because I am a little chunky..... But I'm going to start working out soon as soon as this rain goes away.........
14. I still have my baby blankets. They stay on my bed permanently.
15. My boyfriend hates when I wear make-up. He prefers me to have my hair done over my make up.
16. I think soup and pasta has to be my all time favorite food ever. My grandma use to make me soup everyday when I was little.
17. A good horror movie is so hard to come by these days!
18. It annoys me when people listen to their iPods in class.
19. I hate wearing headphones when there are people around me. I feel so disconnected and I feel like I am always missing something, so I rarely wear them.
20. Most music annoys me unless I hand choose it. I'm not too much of a music person.
21. I love learning about cultures from different countries.
22. I cannot park my car for anything! I have to literally get out of the car and have my boyfriend park it. I know shame on me for not knowing.
23. Gold, black and white are the most elegant colors ever, I think.
24. Vera Wang makes the best perfume ever! I douse myself in it when I leave the house.
25. I'm an only child.
26. I love surprising people with little things.
27. If I could I would make sure everyone was happy all the time. I hate seeing sad people.
28. I have a very simple wardrobe. A lot of jeans, tank tops, t-shirts, sweaters.....
29. I want to have just one kid.
30. I love my family to pieces!

What are some facts about you? I hope you liked mine <3

I've Been Tagged

I got a lovely tweet this morning from
Amalea from the blog Luscious
saying I've been tagged to do the
nail polish tag.

Questions:
1. How many polishes do you have?
Not too many, maybe like 20. I usually go and have my nails done so I don't try to buy them even thought I can't resists some colors.
2. What is your favorite brand of nail polish?
O.P.I
3. Do you like crackle polish or do you hate it?
I don't mind it, it's just not my style.

4.What is the brand of your first nail polish?
Oh goodness I don't remember. I think it was a Barbie kind my mom got me.

5. If you're going to have a nail polish line, what are you gonna name it?
Digits.....?
6. What nail polish color does not compliment you?
Really light and sheer colors.
7. What nail polish color compliments you?
The best one that I think looks good on me is a dark maroon or burgundy.
I love the dark wine looking colors.
8. Name 2 of your nail art best friends?
Gel polishes, rhinestones?
9. What was the best nail polish gift you have ever received?
Um well my mom and I go to get our nails done every few weeks so I guess getting my nails done? I haven't really received any nail polishes as gifts.

10. Make a speech about thanking the blogger who gave you this tag.

Thank you Amalea <3 She is a great blogger and if you haven't already checked our her blog I think you should! pssst... her link is above :)

Fishtails

Last night I went out with some friends
and I wanted to do a different
hairstyle than I usually do
which is straight and down.
I went with a fishtail braid.
I love the look of fishtail braids, but it takes
so much work to do it to my hair considering
it's sooo long and thick. It took me about 10 minutes to
finish it all the way. But it came out pretty good I think.

What do you think about fishtail braids?

Just Some Tidbits

Hello everyone! I just wanted to a short little post
on some random things that I've
been meaning to share.
I hope you're not too mad at me for not posting recently :)

I cleaned my brushes the other day after I cleaned
my bathroom. I was in the cleaning mood and
my brushes were my victim.

Also while cleaning my bathroom I found my
stash of face masks I totally completely forgot
I had from christmas. I didn't
realize how many I have.

And if you've never used theses little beauties before
I seriously suggest you go and get them and thank me later.
The Spin Pins from Goody are wonderful and actually
do keep my hair in a bun.
My hair is long and thick and it actually holds it in place!

New Make Up

So sorry for the lack of posts
these few weeks.
I lost my blogging mojo -.-

But now I'm back!
And I went to Target....

The first thing I bought was Illegal Length Mascara
from Maybelline.
I saw this in the store last week and I didn't know
it was a new mascara so I just brushed it by
but when I started seeing posts about it
I knew I had to try it and boy am I
glad I did!
One swipe and OMG the length
is amazing. Just one swipe was all I needed,
but I contented to do my usually 400+ swipes lol.
I am very pleased with this mascara and I know
I will be buying this again.

The next item I bought was Maybelline
Dream Bouncy Blush 05 fresh pink.
I saw numerous posts about this blush and it's texture.
I mainly wanted to buy this to try out the texture and boy was I
pleasantly surprised! Its like a foam bouncy ball
that you can press and mold kind of like a clay.
Now the color pay off isn't that great.
It's really sheer and I had to keep building it up
on my cheeks.
Even though I kept having to build it up
I love the soft glow it left on my cheeks.
Sorry I didn't take any pictures. I completely forgot :(

Messing Around With My Camera

For Christmas I got this nifty new Nikon Camera,
that I have no idea how to work
so I these are just some pictures of me
messing around with it.

As you can tell I'm having a hard time getting the focus just right.

NOTD Gaga Style

How chic are these nails?
I mean they are HOT!
and totally Lady Gaga worthy.

I went and finally had a mani/pedi
after about a month of putting it off
and this was the creation
I decided on.

Black gel with my ring fingers covered in
rhinestones.

It's Haul Time!

As any girl would say, shopping can cure bad days
make good days better, cheer you up,
and just all around make you feel
glamourous.

This is just a mini haul of the stuff I got today.
Nothing too fancy smancy.

I saw this at Ulta a while back and I wanted it
for the little charm, as I think
the pink polish is a little
too light for me.
None the less it does support breast cancer
and my mom and I had to have it.

Ever since I saw the first advertisement for this
I knew I had to try it out, but every time
I would go and look for it, it would be sold out!
But not this time! My mom found some finally.
I got the grape flavor and she got the fruit punch flavor,
then a day latter my boyfriend and I went back and he got
me the peach one :)
I actually thought these were going to be so much better.
They are a step below regular old chapstick.
And they leave a nasty after taste....

At Ulta they had a sale on old O.P.I colors.
Usually they are $8.99 but they were reduced down to  $4.99
50% off? Who wouldn't buy them!
I actually forgot the name of the colors, but I know the green one is
from the Pirates of the Caribbean collection.
They also had a huge array of Ulta brand polishes on sale for 99 cents.
I got PiƱata Yada Yada. It's super similar to Rainbow Connection.

See the similarities?

Don't judge me. I loved this pattern and I intend
to wear it even if it is a whole 10 months
until Halloween again.
And they were on sale for $4.99 from $9.99

If you've been a reader of my blog you
know by now that I love this Organix Moroccan Argon Oil Penetrating Oil
so when I saw this one for dry coarse hair I had to have it.
My hair is as dry as the Savannah desert!
And I used it already and Oh my gosh
it left my hair feeling ahhh-mazing.

I've seen a few blog posts about this eyeliner
and I thought what the heck
why not give it a try?
Turns out, I actually LOVE this
eyeliner! The little brush it comes with
works better than any eyeliner brush I've used so far.
And the color pay off is great.
It's inky black and doesn't smudge.

The Original and Extra Strength Organix
Moroccan Argan Oil

I bought the Macadamia oil hair mask a few weeks ago
and when I went to Target today I saw this little beauty.
It seems like the same exact thing but for a fraction of the price.
I haven't used this one yet, but I'll let you know
how it goes when I do.

So that was my little haul of the day!
If you have any questions ask away.

2011 In Pictures

Let's face it, 2011 was one heck of a year.
It was another year closer to the end of the world. (If you really do believe in the whole 2012 world ending thing...)
I made it through my 21st birthday unharmed and with a minimal hangover.

I passed my last math class that I needed to take!
There was heartache, happiness, sadness, ice cream, and so much love
this year that I can't simply write everything out!

30 scoops of ice cream???

If you follow me on twitter you know how much I despise math!

Christmas this year was bittersweet.
My cousin wasn't able to celebrate with us because breast cancer took her too soon.

I was able to party legally :)

Steve Jobs died.
MacBook, iPhone, and iPad
I love them all!

My mom surprised me with a beautiful cake!

L.A was at it's usual glory with smog, fast drivers,
great food, and long heat waves.

My mom got married this past October in Vegas.

My Boyfriend doesn't seem to like taking pictures.

Another year at the county fair!

I miss her more and more everyday.

Thanksgiving brought us a great turkey dinner
with great friends and family.

Oh the imagination of a 6 year old.

The breathing treatment I had to get.
I'm still sick :(

He kept posing for pictures! How cute is he?

Pomegranate Martinis became my favorite.

Who can not love Uggs?
Even in this heat I still wear them around the house.

I bet you can't beat my score!

My dad and I started taking again.

Long hair and I don't care.

I think aliens are invading.
I know a lot more stuff happened this year, but the post would have been way too long!
I'm so grateful for all of my friends and family.
With out them I don't think I would have the great life I have.
How was your 2011?
Was it great or will 2012 be your year to shine?
